Coaches Comment:    Ye Ha!!!!!  - Premiers

This group of young ladies were a mixed group of new comers to basketball through to  progressive under 10's graduates, all of whom were relatively new to the game.

They formed a very close "bonding and understanding" between each other, unique in junior league that created the necessary "team" environment to succeed.

These group of girls put in the hard training yards, the tough games, the bruised ribs, the wins with the losses, all whilst respecting umpires decisions. They took it all as part of the game.  I hope these girls treasure the "Premiership" moment and look forward to more enjoyable, social, and active times at the Diamond Creek Basketball Club.

It was a pleasure coaching these ladies and would always jump at the opportunity to have them as part of my team in the future.

It was with team regret that Alexandra Hughes was not able to be part of the the atmosphere of Grand Final day as she was hospitalized within hours of game start.

"Ally" is on the way to a quick recovery and her Premiership medallion awaits her.
